IDEA, the International Association for Integration, Dignity
and Economic Advancement, is the first international organization whose leadership is largely made up of individuals who have
personally faced the challenges of leprosy, also called Hansen’s Disease. Established in 1994, IDEA has 30,000 members
in more than 30 countries, spanning five continents. Membership is open to any individual or organization interested in human
rights, inclusion, empowerment and self-expression.
As an international network of support, IDEA works to end social isolation, social injustice, and prejudice and discrimination,
while promoting full and equal participation in society.

The National Hansen's Disease Programs (NHDP) is a great source for information about Hansen's Disease (leprosy).
Located at the Summit Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, its sole purpose is to provide both inpatient and outpatient care
with no cost to the patient. They will even pay for your plane ticket, so you are sure to get the treatment you need. NHDP
is also responsible for the organization of outpatient care for Hansen's Disease patients throughout the U.S. This site has
a list of clinics that treat patients with Hansen's disease, as well as all you'll ever need to know about the disease.
